Sue Ellen began life with Billy Jo in the entertainment industry and was raised as a "human" baby. When their owner could no longer afford to care for them, she was sold into research and eventually infected with HIV. Now retired, Sue Ellen loves to play and dress-up is one of her favourite pastimes. You'll often find her wearing necklaces and long flowing skirts and carrying around a purse. Sue Ellen loves modelling her play clothes and is one of our most photographed chimps! Bedtime is also an event for Sue Ellen. She will wrestle with her blankets for hours getting them just right.
